How much does a folding powered wheelchair weigh?
The M4 folds down to three pieces of around 13-15 kg each, so no single component is heavier than a piece of hand luggage. The M4 Pro weighs slightly more due to the extended backrest and electric-fold motor, but no lifting is required — it folds itself.
Are folding wheelchairs airline-approved?
Lithium-ion battery folding wheelchairs are accepted by most major airlines under IATA rules, but always confirm capacity with your carrier before flying. We can supply battery specifications and manufacturer paperwork for airline submissions.
What's the difference between a manual folding wheelchair and a powered one?
A manual folding wheelchair still needs to be pushed. A folding powered wheelchair like the M4 has motors, batteries and joystick control — you get the transportability of a folder with the independence of a full power chair.
